Visionary Art in all of its forms is often celebrated and accompanied by Visionary Music. The best of this genre blends organic and traditional sounds with electronic and urban expressions, bridging the worlds and bringing aural unity to the experience of viewing and relating to the visual art.
Alchemeyez Visionary Art Congress is primarily a gathering and Conference focusing on education, meditation, and celebrating the paintings and missions of the world’s best painters and Visionary visualists. We take this approach to hold a reflection and focus for this often overlooked energy in the art world. Many celebrations and Festivals make the music being played their central focus and tenet, and as a result we have decided to formulate our energy and focus around the ideas expressed in the visual arts. However, the experience would not be complete without the accompaniment of tapestries of sound as well.
We have selected some of the world’s most prominent and talented music producers and DJ’s who create this melodious mix keeping with our focus and intention. The music of Alchemeyez is an adjunct to the activities taking place in the Gallery and classrooms, but the entire experience would be lacking without its accompaniment.
We have designed three themed music stages to enjoy this year. The ‘Infusions Stage’ inside the Main Gallery will exist in the direct presence of the world’s finest Visionary Art, and will be offset by luminous lighting, psychedelic projections on three screens, a central altar space, and an art market brimming with reproductions, products, and momentos of the experience of Alchemeyez. It is here that the main headliners will bring their sonic and electronic transformational sounds to the Attendees.
The ‘Reactions Stage’ will be housed in one of the adjacent Kona Ballrooms, and will feature projected light visuals, top quality sound, and printed banners of Visionary Art as eye-candy for the experience. The music in both these stages will be carefully curated by the Producers of Alchemeyez, Decible Festival, Sonic Bloom and Audio Dojo to create a complimentary mix of sounds and transformational environments.
The ‘Catalysts Stage’ will be located outside the Main Gallery on the picturesque white sand beach brimming a tropical lagoon at the Resort. This lagoon is open to the Pacific, and is populated by tropical fish and sea turtles, and features excellent snorkeling opportunities. For the first time in the history of these types of Gatherings, we will literally create a ‘swim-up’ stage where Attendees can use the Lagoon and actually paddle or swim directly up to the foot of the sound system, and take it all in under the Kona sun while standing knee deep in tropical blue water! To create a sensitive and beautiful experience with the environment, the music played here will be the best of deep tech, ambient, psychedelic, and roots sounds!
We have employed three identical KV-2 sound systems utilized by Decible Fest and will provide a world class musical journey at all three stages, highlighting transformation and individual alchemical opening in the Listener.
